Pier Dock

A pier dock, as opposed to a floating dock, is built upon pilings driven into the lakebed. It does not float upon the water, but instead, holds steady. Customers often choose a pier dock when they have violent waves that make a floating dock volatile. The height of the pilings is determined by the client's summer water depths; these photos were taken in low water during Autumn on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
